Applied Weather Technology Reports Record Growth Over Last 12 Months

Marine Weather Company Doubles Revenues, Adds Staff, Expands Facilities and Launches New Software Version

SUNNYVALE, Calif. – August 21st, 2007 – Buoyed by recent record growth, Applied Weather Technology (AWT) is moving into an expanded new facility this month located in Sunnyvale, Calif. AWT is a leading supplier of state-of-the-art weather routing services and software for ships on the high seas.

AWT’s new 10,000 square foot office building will house the company’s corporate offices and will accommodate about one half of AWT’s total workforce, including up to 40 meteorological scientists and software engineers, as well as management and administrative personnel. The remaining staff members work in operation centers and sales offices located around the world.
“This has been a remarkable year for AWT,” said David Callicott, senior vice president, AWT. “We have doubled our weather routing business during the last 12 months and increased our staff with 25 additional employees. The new building will be nearly twice the size of our former suite of offices.”

Callicott also announced that the company is introducing Version 5.5 of its popular BonVoyage on-board software suite, which provides the ship’s master with a powerful interactive tool for on-board route planning.
